Welcome to Island Life Pontoon Rental! Our goal is to provide every guest with a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable day on the water. Please review the following policies before your reservation.
Reservation & Payment

A reservation is confirmed once the payment has been received.

Reservations are not guaranteed until payment has been received.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited number of luxury boats available and the high demand during peak season, the following cancellation policies apply:
Sunday through Thursday

Cancellations made 14 days or more before your reservation will receive a full refund.

Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable.
Friday, Saturday & Holidays

Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to your reservation for a full refund.

Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable.
Yacht Charters
-
All yacht charters require 30 days' notice for cancellation.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel or rental insurance to protect your vacation investment.
Weather Policy
Florida weather can change quickly, especially along the Emerald Coast.

We monitor weather conditions continuously.

If dangerous conditions such as lightning, high winds, or severe storms are expected at the start of your trip, Island Life Pontoon may cancel the reservation or postpone your trip until weather clears.

If we cancel due to unsafe weather before departure, guests may choose a refund or a credit toward a future reservation.

We do not cancel for:
-
Passing rain showers
-
Cloudy weather
-
Cold temperatures
-

Once your trip begins, weather encountered on the water is considered part of boating, and refunds are not provided for changing weather conditions.
Age & Boating Requirements
Florida boating laws apply to all operators.
Guests who are required by Florida law to possess a boating safety education certificate must provide proof prior to departure.
The United States Coast Guard requires guest to be born on or before January 1988. If not, guest must have a Boating Certificate.
PLEASE NOTE: Even with a boating certificate Island Life requires clients to be 30 years old or older. However, you are welcome to hire a captain.
If a designated captain is required, we can provide a list of approved captains when available.
Boat Care
Please help us keep our boats among the nicest on the Emerald Coast.
The following are not permitted on our boats:

Smoking or vaping

Illegal drugs
-
Fireworks
-
Glass containers whenever possible
-
Red wine
-
Red-colored beverages that may permanently stain upholstery

Sharp objects that may damage seats
Guests are responsible for excessive cleaning or damages caused during their rental.
Fuel
Rentals include a full tank of fuel.
If extraordinary fuel price increases occur, Island Life Pontoon reserves the right to apply a reasonable fuel surcharge consistent with current market pricing.
Safety
Your safety is our highest priority.
All guests agree to:

Follow all Coast Guard and Florida boating regulations.

Wear life jackets when required.
-
Never operate the vessel while impaired.

Follow all instructions provided during the safety orientation.

Keep children supervised at all times.
-
Stay within the approved boating area.
Damage Responsibility
The renter is responsible for any damage caused by negligence or misuse during the rental period.
This includes but is not limited to:

Propeller damage
-
Upholstery damage
-
Lost equipment
-
Excessive cleaning
-
Dock damage
-
Collision damage
-
Grounding caused by operator error
Pets
Pets may be allowed on select boats with prior approval. We charge $35 per animal when approved.
Additional cleaning charges may apply if excessive pet hair or damage is present.
Food & Drinks
Guests are encouraged to bring food and beverages.
We recommend:

Plenty of bottled water

Sunscreen

Towels
-
Ice
-
Snacks
-
Dry bags for valuables
Please avoid foods or drinks that may permanently stain upholstery.
Departure Times
Please arrive 30–45 minutes before your scheduled departure for:

Paperwork

Loading personal belongings
Late arrivals may reduce your rental time.
Gratuities
Gratuities are never required but are always appreciated.
Typical gratuities are:

Captain: 10–15% of the total charter fee
-
Deckhand: 10% of the total charter fee
Liability
Guests acknowledge that boating carries inherent risks.
By participating, guests agree to follow all safety instructions and assume the ordinary risks associated with recreational boating. Additional waivers may be required before departure.
