About Our Family
At Island Life, our story has never been just about boats. It's about faith, family, hard work, and creating unforgettable memories for the thousands of guests who trust us with their vacations each year.

We are Michael and Katherine Knapp, originally from Indiana, where we built our lives and started our family before God called us to Florida. In 2015, we moved to beautiful Santa Rosa Beach with our children to serve at a local church. A few years later, we followed God's leading once again and planted The Well Church, with a desire to share the love of Christ and serve our local community.

Like many young church plants, ministry required faith, sacrifice, and creativity. In 2018, Michael began looking for a way to financially support both our growing family and the ministry God had entrusted to us. That search led to the purchase of a single boat.
​
We had no idea that one boat would become the beginning of something much larger. Today, our family operates a fleet of more than 25 boats throughout the Florida Panhandle, including luxury pontoons, tritoons, yachts, fishing boats, and specialty charters serving Destin, 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City Beach, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and beyond. Every season brings new opportunities to expand, improve our fleet, and provide even better experiences for our guests.
